Description Pierce scientists developed the Easy-Titer Human IgM Assay Kit to address the need for a simple, sensitive, and easy-to-perform assay for Human IgM that eliminates the need for an ELISA. This kit incorporates a simple mix-and-read assay that allows the accurate determination of IgM concentration from 15-500 ng/ml in approximately 30 minutes. The Pierce Easy-Titer Human IgM Assay is an aggregation assay. Low IgM concentrations yield high absorbance values, while high IgM concentrations result in lower absorbance values. The decrease is proportional to IgM concentration and a standard curve can be generated to accurately quantify levels of IgM in a variety of samples.
Highlights:
  • Fast microplate based assay 10-minute total assay time; plotted results in less than 30 minutes
  • Measures IgM titer from a variety of sample sources including plasma and serum
  • No cross-reactivity with Human IgG or with IgM from other species (e.g., mouse and goat)
  • Three component ready-to-use kit
  • No additional buffers or reagents needed
  • Requires only a microplate, a shaker and microplate reader
  • Eliminates the need for typical ELISA-associated detection reagents
  • Detection limit:15 ng
  • Coefficient of variation: <5%
  • Detection requires absorbance measurements at 340 nm or 405 nm
  • Adaptable to high-throughput formats
Discover how fast and easy a human IgM assay can be with the new Easy-Titer Human IgM Assay Kit!
