Description Idaho Technologys R.A.P.I.D. System (Ruggedized Advanced Pathogen Identification Device) is a rugged, real-time, PCR thermocycler designed for field hospitals, mobile laboratories and other rough environments. In addition to its ruggedness, it is designed with the same sensitivity and specify as the LightCycler instrument. By taking advantage of thin-walled capillary tubes, the R.A.P.I.D. is able to perform 30 cycles in less than 30 minutes making it one of the fastest thermocycler on the market. The R.A.P.I.D.s "push-button" software provides ease-of-use for pathogen identification in the field as well as advanced modules for in-depth analysis of samples and melting curves.
