Chickens are an excellent host for producing antibodies. In most cases high titer polyclonal chicken antibodies can be obtained in one month immunization protocol. Conjugated peptides, recombinant or native proteins are used to immunize chickens.

Schedule:
Day 0: Purified the IgY from 3 pre-immune egg yolk per chicken (serve as negative controls). Immunize with antigen in Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA)
Day 10: Immunize with antigen in Incomplete Freund's Adjuvant (IFA)
Day 20: Immunize with antigen in IFA
Day 35: Purified antibody (>90% pure) from 6 immunized egg yolk per chicken

Antibody purification by affinity on antigen in order to obtain specific IgY

Conjugated peptides, recombinant or native proteins are used to immunize goat. Agro-Bio has developed an immunization protocol optimized in time, quantity of antigen and quality of the antibodies obtained. The average serum yield on a 77-day protocol is approximately 300 mL per goat. 150 to 250 g immunogen is used for each immunization (5 immunizations/ goat with a 77-days protocol).

Day 0 : Pre-immunization bleed Immunize with antigen in Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA)
Day 14 : Immunize with antigen in Incomplete Freund's Adjuvant (IFA)
Day 28 : Immunize with antigen in Incomplete Freund's Adjuvant (IFA)
Day 42 : Immunize with antigen in Incomplete Freund's Adjuvant (IFA)
Day 56 : 1st production bleed 150 mL
Day 63 : Immunize with antigen in Incomplete Freund's Adjuvant (IFA)
Day 77 : 2nd production bleed 150 mL
