Description PlusOne Silver Staining Kit, Protein, 1. Based on the methodology of Heukeshoven and Dernick (1), the kit gives essentially colorless backgrounds in most gel electrophoresis systems.Silver Staining Kit, Protein provides convenient, reproducible and sensitive staining of proteins in polyacrylamide gels in less than two hours.The visualization technique detects most proteins in the nanogram range, which is 100-fold more sensitive than Coomassie Blue staining.Typical sensitivity is 0.2-0.6 ng protein/band.Use with 2-D/MS by omitting glutaraldehyde from staining procedure.
