Description The recent sequencing of Salmonella genomes has allowed the development of the S. enterica Typhimurium ORFmer PCR* primer pairs. The S. enterica Typhimurium (strain LT2) genome consists of a single chromosome (4,857,432 bp; 4,440 ORFs) and a plasmid, pSLT (93,939 bp; 107 ORFs). These ORFmers from Sigma-Genosys have been designed to amplify all putative open reading frames (ORFs) in S. enterica serovar Typhimurium.
