Description	Hybrid-Ready Tissues are selected tissues from mouse, rat, and human sources that have been fixed, embedded in paraffin, sectioned and mounted onto slides. After removing the wax, the slides are ready for use in tissue RNA localization by in situ hybridization. The Hybrid-Ready tissue slides are suitable for in situ hybridization using both 35S-labeled and non-radioactive probes, as well as for immunolocalization. Strains: Mouse adult tissues (except eye) are from the strain NIH Swiss. Because of the retinal degeneration ocurring after birth in the NIH Swiss background, adult eyes are prepared from the strain C57BL/6. Each slide contains 8 tissues: brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, muscle, pancreas and spleen.
