|Description|| The Bio-Rad Molecular Imager VersaDoc MP 4000 System is a versatile and quantitative CCD based imaging system capable of supporting a wide array of detection methods, including fluorescence, chemiluminescence, densitometry, and chemiflourescence. Red, Green, and Blue illumination sources allow imaging of multiplexed fluorescent samples, reducing the number of experiments and leading to faster results. With laser-like intensity and excellent uniformity, the VersaDoc MP provide a high performance and cost effective alternative to laser technology to support multiple samples, including 2D and 1D gels, blots, and arrays, to name a few. The accompanying Quantity One software can overlay images, which are acquired using various detection methods, into one image for easier analysis. Other available software packages, such as PDQuest and Proteomeweaver 2D software, InfoQuest and FPQuest fingerprinting software allow quantitative comparisons between images. The system is designed with innovative technology and quality components to promote highly quantitative data. For example, patented* flat fielding technology promotes uniformity of data, and cameras with high quantum efficiency and good dynamic range optimizes sensitivity for detection of low and high abundant samples in the same image. The VersaDoc MP System is an affordable imaging system that covers all electrophoresis imaging needs, except phosphoimaging, and the versatility of the system allows customization to experiment with different or new detection methods. The system includes a 50 mm and 20-80 mm zoom lens, sample tray, cleaning kit, Quantity One software for PC/Mac, and instructions. Dimensions are 58 x 66 x 99 cm.
