Description MacMelt software is used on Macintosh operating systems to predict the melting profile of any DNA sequence up to 3,200 bases, which aids in optimizing placement of primers and GC clamps for mutation detection by denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE), constant denaturing gel electrophoresis (CDGE), and temporal temperature gel electrophoresis (TTGE).
