Description The MJ Mini thermal cycler is a compact instrument for gene amplification (PCR). It holds 48 x 0.2 ml tubes, 12 x 0.5 ml tubes, or a 48-well microplate. A Hot Bonnet heated lid uses a thumbwheel to adjust height and pressure to tightly seal PCR vessels for oil-free cycling. Peltier heat pumps provide excellent thermal performance, and the sample block reaches thermal uniformity extremely rapidly. The MJ Mini cycler can be converted to a MiniOpticon 2-color real-time PCR detection system. Dimensions are 18 x 32 x 20 cm (W x D x H).
