ProductsIntroductory SpinPrep Gel DNA Kit from Novagen
Company Novagen
Item Introductory SpinPrep Gel DNA Kit
Price $29.00
Description Rapid, efficient extraction of DNA from agarose gels

The SpinPrep Gel DNA Kit enables efficient extraction of DNA fragments of 150 bp to > 12,000 bp in size from agarose gels. The procedure uses GelMelt solution to dissolve the gel slice, followed by adsorption of the DNA to a silica membrane in a spin column format. After a wash step, the purified DNA is eluted in low-salt buffer. Each spin column can bind up to 20 g DNA. Recoveries are consistently in the range of 5090% under standard conditions.

Column binding capacity: up to 20 g
Gel slice mass: 150 mg/rxn
Typical recovery: 5090%
Size range: 150 bp to > 12,000 bp
Time required: < 30 min
