The Guava EasyCyte system is the first and only blue laser based multiparameter cytometer with built-in 96-well microplate sampling (with tube options). Now you can screen plates of cells and compounds quickly and easily, without the hassle of manipulating multiple tubes or having the carryover issues found with other detachable microplate methods. In addition, Guava has streamlined fluorescent cell-based assays and made them simpler by integrating instrument, software, and reagents into a turnkey solution.
A Unique Design
The key to our turnkey approach is the use of a patented self-aligning, user-replaceable microcapillary flow cell that requires no sheath fluid. This feature allows you to obtain absolute, direct cell counts without the use of reference beads. It also means you will need less cells (< 20 uL) and less reagents to perform your cell-based assays, and eliminate sheath fluid costs that can add up to thousands of dollars per year, and with <50 mL waste generated in 8 hours-you'll save precious time and money. It also means that you can remove the flow cell for cleaning and maintenance-so, no more waiting for expensive service visits. And, of course, shealthless fluidics allow for a tiny footprint that fits into the tightest laboratory spaces.
The Guava EasyCyte system is equipped with a blue laser (488 nm), three fluorescence detectors, forward scatter (FSC) and sides scatter (SSC) to identify cells with specific phenotypic markers or specific properties. The unique capability, not provided with other assay systems, of direct, absolute cell counts, is displayed as cells/mL in conjunction with subpopulation percentages.
The Guava EasyCyte System can be integrated with a number of robotic arms or liquid handling systems to continuously run samples when you need to screen multiple microplates. This is ideal for secondary screening labs that want to easily profile lead compounds and save on human resource costs.

The Guava EasyCyte System software allows a laboratory administrator to restrict users from access to certain features in order to help ensure that standard procedures are followed correctly. This is ideal for bioprocessing, manufacturing or clinical trials settings where changes to the instrument or analysis settings are restricted to certain users.
