Description Gelzyme is an agarose-digesting enzyme isolated from Pseudomonas atlantica. Gelzyme enzyme cleaves simple carbohydrate bonds in agarose producing carbohydrate molecules that can no longer gel. The remaining carbohydrate molecules will not interfere with subsequent DNA manipulation. DNA isolated with Gelzyme enzyme can be used for restriction endonuclease digestions ligations and transformations. Gelzyme enzyme is ideal for isolating DNA from low melting temperature agarose gels. It is provided with Gelzyme digestion buffer.
