Description Invitrogen makes blotting of E-PAGE Gels easier and more efficient by providing a pre-cut fiber blotting pad and several types of pre-cut pre-assembled membrane/filter paper sandwiches that perfectly fit 8.6 cm x 13.5 cm E-PAGE Gels*. The available nitrocellulose and Invitrolon PVDF membranes are designed for western transfer of proteins (Figure 1 Table 1). Pre-cut extra-thick absorbent Blotting Paper (2.5 mm thickness) for E-PAGE" Gels are also available to accommodate the E-PAGE blotting set-up using a semi-dry transfer apparatus. A proteins properties affect its ability to bind to membrane surfaces. Finding the right membrane may require experimenting with your specific protein on different membranes.
