Cleland’s Reagent, Immobilized

White solid. PACKAGED UNDER INERT GAS. DO NOT FREEZE. Immobilized form of DTT on polyacrylamide resin with applications similar to those of DTT itself (Cat. Nos. 233153, 233156, and 233155) but with the important advantage that no soluble components are added to the system. REDUCTACRYL™ Reagent can be used in a batch technique, in which the resin can be easily removed by filtration, or it can be packed into a column. Using a 10-fold excess of resin in the batch technique, it has been shown that 1 mM oxidized glutathione can be reduced completely to glutathione in 15 minutes at room temperature, pH 7.5. Can be used in either aqueous or organic solvent systems such as DMSO or EtOH. Reduction capacity: >0.06 meq/g of resin. RTECS EK1610000, CAS 3483-12-3.
