uBiome Appoints Dr. Jill Carnahan, MD, Functional Medicine Expert, to its Medical Advisory Board

uBiome, the leader in microbial genomics, announces the addition of Dr. Jill Carnahan, MD, founder and medical director of Flatiron Functional Medicine to its Medical Advisory Board. Joining the board of leading scientists and doctors from around the world, Dr. Carnahan will bring to uBiome extensive experience in treating the root causes of disease, conscientiously taking into account nutritional, bacterial, and biochemical imbalances. The appointment will help uBiome continue its advancement in human microbiome research.

Dr. Carnahan has dedicated her career to patient care and educating healthcare providers about the value of a functional medicine practice. She currently works at Flatiron Functional Medicine. Previously, she founded the Methodist Center for Integrative Medicine in 2009. She received her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago and completed her residency at the University of Illinois Program in Family Medicine at Methodist Medical Center.
