SANDY, Utah, Feb. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Qqest and M2SYS Technology, a global biometrics research and development firm, today announced a partnership that allows Qqest to offer TimeForce time and attendance customers the added security and efficiency features of biometric identification technology at their PC.
M2SYS' RightPunch(TM) solution enables the M2SYS hybrid biometric platform technology to seamlessly interface with Qqest's TimeForce time and attendance system, providing a simple and secure way to record employee timestamps at the PC following a biometric scan. TimeForce customers can select from three different types of biometric readers including fingerprint, finger vein and palm vein readers.
"After an employee places their finger or palm on a biometric reader," said Burke Plummer, president and CEO of Qqest, "TimeForce authenticates their identity and either denies access to the time and attendance system, or processes the employee's clock-in or clock-out time."
With biometric verification at the desktop, TimeForce customers can add even more benefits to their automated time and attendance systems, including:
Eliminate "buddy punching": The bane of many companies' time and attendance processes, buddy punching happens when employees clock in or out for their colleagues. This results in overpayment of wages, distrust between employees and managers and an inaccurate picture of workforce productivity and needs.
Easy to use. Biometric technology is simple to use. Even employees who may have limited computer skills can clock in and out quickly and easily.
Increased productivity: M2SYS' RightPunch(TM) technology eliminates mundane tasks like entering log-in IDs and passwords and swiping access cards, allowing employees to focus their efforts on more productive tasks.
