Worldwide Business with kathy ireland®: See Helius Medical Technologies Introduce How They're Pioneering Portable Neurostimulation
Date:7/26/2019

Worldwide Business with kathy ireland® is pleased to announce an exclusive interview with Helius Medical Technologies CEO Phil Deschamps to discuss their potential new treatment option to manage neurological symptoms of disease or trauma.

Helius Medical Technologies is a neurotech company in the medical device industry that's focused on neurological wellness. With a sharp focus on unique, noninvasive platform technologies, Helius Medical Technologies is the medical device holding company working to expand treatment options for patients by amplifying the brain's ability to heal itself. The company was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Deschamps says that millions of patients and physicians aim to manage neurological symptoms of disease or trauma, with limited ways to rehabilitate lost function. That's why Helius Medical Technologies is studying a new potential treatment option. He explains, "If you think about the treatment, it is always a combination of physical or cognitive therapy. That physical therapy is delivered through neuro rehabilitation centers. So the institutions we work with are large neurology rehabilitation centers all over the country. We set up partnerships with those to be able to deliver the physical therapy part, and then we contribute the technology to be able to combine."
