Washington Eye Center is now Precision Eye Care
Date:10/21/2013

WASHINGTON, N.C., Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Washington Eye Center is proud to announce it has changed its name to Precision Eye Care, effective immediately. The name was chosen to better reflect the level of accuracy and quality of care that patients have come to expect from Eastern North Carolina's leading Ophthalmology and Optometry practice. Serving to unite the brand, Precision Eye Care will be the new name of the locations in Greenville, Kinston and Washington.  In addition to the name change, the company revealed a new logo that visually represents the combination of advanced technology and the renowned expertise of Dr. Jitendra Swarup, owner of Precision Eye Care.

Dr. Swarup is one of the nation's leading cataract surgeons, having performed over 30,000 cataract surgeries. Internationally recognized as a leader in advanced care, he is a forerunner in the use of LenSx Laser Cataract Removal. While previous cataract surgeries required the use of a scalpel to cut the eye by hand, LenSx uses a finely tuned laser to make precise incisions and break up the entire cataract so it can be easily removed; this may lead to faster recovery times and improved clarity. Of the name change, Dr. Swarup states, "This is a great opportunity to unify all of our branches and let Eastern North Carolina know that world-class eye care is close to home."

The name change will not disrupt the regular activity of the practice, and patients should expect the same level of outstanding care that they've come to expect from Dr. Swarup and his highly-trained staff. To learn more about Precision Eye Care or to request an appointment, contact 252-946-2171.
