Supply Chain Council Partners With APICS The Association for Operations Management

WASHINGTON, May 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Supply Chain Council (SCC) announced today it has joined forces with APICS The Association for Operations Management to offer a unique new program that will enhance the skills and knowledge of supply chain and operations management professionals.

SCC is the world's leading authority on supply chain methodology, diagnostics, and benchmarking based on the SCOR(R) standard while APICS is the leader in operations management and supply chain certification and education. APICS Chief Executive Officer Abe Eshkenazi, CSCP, CPA, CAE, said today, "We are pleased to be working with SCC. This collaboration brings together the expertise of both organizations to develop the knowledge of the members of APICS and SCC and deepen the skills sets of supply chain and operations management professionals." SCC Executive Director Joseph Francis added, "APICS and SCC offer complementary products. APICS education and training programs provide a foundation for the supply chain improvement activities that SCC promotes. We are excited about the possibilities presented by this alliance."

Through this agreement, members of SCC are eligible for member pricing on APICS certification exams and educational events, and APICS members will benefit from access to SCORmark(R), SCC's benchmarking offering, and will receive member rates for SCC events. In addition, SCC will conduct Webinars for APICS members.
