Agreements to start publishing their journals in 2008 were signed with the Korean Society of Civil Engineers, the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Korean Fiber Society, the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers, the Pharmaceutical Society of Korea, the Korean Society for Biotechnology and Bioengineering, the Korean Society of Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and the Microbiological Society of Korea.

Hubertus von Riedesel, Vice President Publishing Physical Sciences and Engineering at Springer, said, Springer is proud and excited to start working with so many well-respected and prestigious South Korean society journals .

Maurice Kwong, Managing Director of Springer Asia, said, The Korean society journal publishing agreements are of strategic importance for Springer to provide the global scientific community with more quality content from Asia.
