Signalling pathways meeting targeting the HER/EGFR family: Focus on breast, lung and colorectal cancers
Date:2/25/2013

The ESMO symposium "Signalling Pathways Targeting the HER/EGFR family in breast, lung and colorectal cancers" is a unique event which will mark the start of a series of events that ESMO will specifically dedicate to issues around the widely debated topic of personalised cancer medicine.

Academic clinical researchers and industry researchers alike will be guided by an extraordinary panel of experts through the challenges and the novelties that the dissection of biomarkers are continuously bringing to the oncology field.

200 attendees are expected from throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

Highlights on:

  • Lively biomarkers: opportunities for liquid biopsy

  • Pitfalls and challenges with tumour tissue specimens

  • Tumour-host interaction: focus on immune response and microenvironment

  • EGFR/HER family targeted therapy in breast, colorectal and lung cancer

  • Adjuvant and neoadjuvant strategies in HER-2/neu breast disease

  • Predictive biomarkers of EGFR inhibition in colorectal cancer: what is there beyond KRAS?

  • Building on EGFR inhibition in lung cancer: Synthetic lethality strategies
