The 21st Norsk Perinataldager (Norwegian Perinatal Days) will be arranged as a joint conference with the 2008 International Stillbirth Conference from the 5th 7th November. This is in collaboration with the International Stillbirth Allliance (ISA) and the World Health Organisation (WHO). The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) is chairing the conference and many researchers from the NIPH will present research on stillbirth and research from the Norwegian Mother and Child Cohort Study. It is not too late to register.
Prevention of stillbirth in developing countries is given a particular focus on the opening day of this year's conference. The following two days concentrate on prevention of growth-restriction in children, better care and health services. There is also a programme about important themes for Norwegian pregnancy and newborn health (in Norwegian). The conference has a long list of international speakers and programmes for health professionals, parents and researchers. NORAD is sponsoring participants from the developing countries.
The Norwegian Society for Perinatal Medicine, The Norwegian SIDS and Stillbirth Society and Rikshospitalet Perinatal Research Center are the hosts of the conference, which will take place at the Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel in Oslo on the 5th -7th November.
Each day will begin with a joint session at 9 a.m. and continue with three to five parallel sessions. Free movement is allowed between the different halls, allowing you to pick out the the most relevant topics from each conference.
