"California was the first state to allow medical marijuana, and unfortunately we have all witnessed how a lack of regulatory control on the state level can cause uncertainty and inefficiency. We look forward to educating landlords, patients, and public officials on how the City of San Diego can avoid the problem-fraught dispensary program that has plagued California," stated Dr. Bruce Bedrick , CEO of Medbox, Inc. "We want to help the city achieve a regulated program, with safe and controlled access to the patients that truly need the medicine," he added. "Hopefully the San Diego model can ultimately be duplicated in other cities in throughout the state."
