MedMaster™ MAEC Series Now Features Updated Design and Reading Light Option

Kenall has enhanced the popular MedMaster MAEC Series LED luminaires with improved optics and new Tunable White and reading light options. These redesigned linear overbed luminaires are equipped with symmetric ambient and asymmetric exam modes, and an IP65 rating to protect the fixtures against the ingress of water and dust.

Intended to be specified in pairs, the MAEC is 8” x 48” and has a delivered lumen range of 2,899 – 7,371lm. The new optics create a softer, more even light, and Tunable White technology allows the luminaires to follow the timing and color of natural daylight-to-dark cycles, enhancing patient comfort, supporting natural sleep patterns and helping to promote healing.

Frank Gonzales, Kenall’s Director of Product Management, believes that hospitals and clinics will glean the greatest value from MAEC’s multifunctional design. “Technology today generally means more equipment in or on the ceiling, which means space in the plenum is at a premium. The MedMaster MAEC provides ambient, exam and reading functions in a relatively small footprint. They create a streamlined look and provide beautiful light quality. Plus, LED makes them extremely energy efficient, so they solve many of the challenges healthcare facilities face when lighting patient spaces.”
