Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society expands international reach with Wiley-VCH
Date:11/2/2011

Wiley-VCH, part of the scientific and technical publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (NYSE: JWa and JWb) and the Chemical Society Located in Taipei have signed an agreement to closely cooperate and jointly publish the Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society. The journal will be available online from volume 2011 in Wiley Online Library, one of the world's most extensive multidisciplinary collections of online resources, used by 10 million people a month.

"The partnership combines our society's editorial experience with Wiley-VCH's professional expertise, global marketing activity and excellent track record of publishing and developing top chemical society journals", said Professor Chien-Hong Cheng, President of the Chemical Society Located in Taipei. "I am particularly pleased that individual society members will enjoy complimentary access to the Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society in Wiley Online Library for several years."

Professor Yu Wang, esteemed Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society and head of the editorial office situated at National Taiwan University in Taipei commented "In times of decreasing print circulation, state-of-the-art online presence is a very important criterion for the sustainability of scientific journals. To see the first issues of the Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society in Wiley Online Library, under the same roof as Angewandte Chemie and Chemistry An Asian Journal, confirms my conviction that our joint efforts will bring highest quality standards, broad visibility and advanced international reputation for the journal."

Carina S. Kniep, Editorial Director, Wiley-VCH chemistry journals, emphasized "We feel honored that the Chemical Society Located in Taipei chose us as the publishing partner for the Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society. This cooperation further strengthens our ties with the chemistry community in Taiwan and builds on our existing partnership for Chemistry An Asian Journal, a journal of the Asian Chemical Editorial Society (ACES) which is co-owned by thirteen major chemical societies throughout Asia and the Pacific region."
