Embraces Both Flash and HDD Suppliers Under One Roof

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Dedicated to the storage industry and its robust dynamic supply chain, IDEMA today announced program highlights for DISKCON USA 2007, the premier storage industry event, to be held on September 18 - 20 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel / Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.

Presented by IDEMA, DISKCON USA 2007 will reveal new and emerging storage technologies, address compelling issues facing the industry and bring together the most influential storage organizations under one roof. This year's conference theme titled "Storage Goes Main Street -- Drive On!" marks a new strategic direction for the show as it embraces both Hard Disk Drive and Flash technologies.

As with previous events, DISKCON will address technology in its present and projected future forms, while calling on industry experts to define how these technologies can be applied for optimum results. Noted topics covered at this year's event include: Hard Disk Drives, Flash memories, hybrid designs as well as emerging technologies which may reside in the laboratories today, but could have a future impact on storage.

New to the show floor is "Applications Avenue" which will feature ground- breaking Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and Solid State Drive (SSD) applications. This "must see" part of the show includes: the Hard Drive Enabled Car from Seagate featuring 120 Gigabytes of storage capacity for navigation, digital music, video, photos, satellite radio, office applications and web browsing; Fujitsu's biometric identification system; Samsung's Hybrid HDD laptop; Hitachi GST's new gaming PCs; and a fully operational STEC Solid State Drive being subjected to insane amounts of shock and vibration.
