Fujitsu PalmSecure Certified Under International Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 2
Date:7/14/2009

a person's palm vein pattern, generating a unique biometric template that is matched against pre-registered users' palm vein patterns. This advanced, vascular pattern recognition technology provides a highly reliable type of authentication -- PalmSecure's false acceptance ratio is just 0.00008 percent -- in a form factor that is non-intrusive, easy to use and generates extremely fast comparisons. The Common Criteria certification applies to the Fujitsu PalmSecure Software Developer Kit (SDK).

SDK enables developers to enhance the security of their software applications and IT systems by supplying all the necessary equipment and resources for integrating PalmSecure. The Common Criteria certification provides developers with a higher level of assurance that they are implementing the most secure, robust biometric available today. It also significantly reduces the time and costs associated with having their own systems assessed for Common Criteria certification by demonstrating to evaluators that the developers are building their systems using components that are certified under Common Criteria -- a distinct competitive advantage for any solutions provider selling its products to a government agency.
