Eurofins MWG Operon and Genomatix launch strategic alliance
Date:7/8/2010

Eurofins MWG Operon, an expert in next generation sequencing (NGS) and Genomatix Software GmbH, a leading company in complex analysis and interpretation of such NGS data, announce their decision to combine their expertise and join forces to offer state-of-the art solutions for comprehensive genome analysis and re-sequencing project services.

"We are pleased to cooperate with a partner offering such a high level of expertise in understanding and interpretation of complex biological processes. The special know-how of Genomatix with its rich proprietary data background will have an enormous impact on our service offerings to our customers and will add a further layer of quality to strengthen our position as the leading provider for next generation sequencing services" says Bruno Poddevin, Eurofins Senior Vice President, Genomic Services.

Klaus May, Chief Business Officer of Genomatix, says: "Eurofins MWG Operon is an outstanding quality and service oriented company with friendly, bright and competent people. I am highly satisfied about this partnership, which represents the first one-stop-shop for complete project services, from experimental planning, wet-lab work and data analysis, to data interpretation and deep biological understanding. Together, we offer our customers cutting edge science and technology without the need for them to make major investments in equipment, infrastructure and manpower."

Both partners have already successfully worked together to gain several significant projects where applicative know-how and powerful bioinformatic capabilities have been key for effective project consulting and execution.
