ELISE ID to Power State Driver Registration Search System
Date:9/21/2009

RESTON, Virginia, September 17 /PRNewswire/ -- WCC Smart Search & Match, a leading provider of ELISE ID, the platform for multi-modal fusion, today announced that it has been selected by a large electoral state to power identity matching for their driver registration system. ELISE ID will be used to prevent duplication of records during the merger of two existing databases that contain over 20 million records. It will then be used for real-time identification lookup by the law enforcement department.

"We are delighted to be selected for this task," said Peter Went, CEO of WCC. "We believe this award recognizes one of ELISE ID's key strengths in supporting current requirements for accurate identification using legacy biographic data while providing a flexible, interoperable platform that can accommodate future expansion to new applications and integrating new technologies in the future.

The system is expected to have over a thousand users generating roughly two million transactions per day with peaks at around 260 transactions per second, a performance level demonstrated by many other government, nation-wide deployments of the WCC system that have been in operation for over a decade.
