EARTHRES Vice President Louis F. Vittorio, Jr., P.G., Receives IBWA Advocacy Award

Earthres Group, Inc., (EARTHRES) Vice President, Louis F. Vittorio, Jr., P.G., was awarded the International Bottled Water Association’s (IBWA’s) IBWA/Shayron Barnes-Selby Advocacy Award at the IBWA Annual Business Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana this week.

IBWA’s Advocacy Award, named “The Selby” after longtime IBWA contributor Shayron Barnes-Selby, is awarded to an individual or organization whose advocacy efforts have had a positive impact on the national/global conversation and larger public policy issues important to the bottled water industry. States Lou Vittorio, “I am humbled and honored to receive this prestigious award. But in reality, my fellow members have all been advocates for the sustainability of water sources, and meeting consumer demand for quality bottled water.”

“Lou is very dedicated to promoting not only the safety and quality of bottled water, but also ensuring the protection and safety of local watersheds and water supplies,” states EARTHRES Company Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Jan Hutwelker. “Over the past three years, as an IBWA Technical Committee member and IBWA Board of Directors member, Lou has been very active writing articles and giving presentations to the industry and consumers on the environmental sustainability, quality, and safety of bottled water. He has been an active contributor to IBWA and has engaged the legislature and regulators to advance the science behind the industry. He has been active in the regional protection of watersheds and residential wells, presenting on issues associated with emerging contaminants, karst and water supplies.
