To support the company's increased focus on identity management, CSC has named Steve Hooks director of the labs. Hooks previously served as CSC's executive program manager for the DoD's Biometrics Fusion Center. He joined CSC in 2004 after serving 22 years as a special agent with the FBI, most recently as the deputy director of its CJIS division in Clarksburg, W.Va.
"CSC's seamless integration of systems, policies and procedures across mission and functional areas supports the DoD in fulfilling requirements and meeting mission critical challenges for both the warfighter and our country," said Hooks. "During CSC's tenure at the Biometric Fusion Center, our identity management support has helped the DoD become the major sponsor of biometric products development and the leader in the application of new identity management tools."
CSC's previous work in West Virginia includes working with the BFC, a biometrics research, development, test and evaluation facility in Clarksburg. The BFC leads and facilitates the integration of databases, systems and processes to support a DoD biometrically-enabled, enterprise-wide identity management capability. In partnership with the BFC, CSC and its small business teammates have led the design, integration and implementation of force protection capabilities in Iraq, as well as numerous advanced technology capabilities projects to support both the DoD's warfighter and business process needs.
