Now in its fifth year and supported by supported by the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, the Symposium highlights exciting research by young investigators at the interface of the physical and life sciences. The Symposium will take place on Monday, February 17, 2014, in San Francisco, California as part of the Biophysical Society's 58th Annual Meeting.

The 2014 speakers and their talk titles for the Symposium are:

  • William Greenleaf, Stanford University, "Off Label" Uses of Sequencing Technology to Explore the Physical Genome;
  • Mary Kraft, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Sphingolipid and Cholesterol Distribution in the Plasma Membrane by High-resolution SIMS;
