Bausch + Lomb adquiere Technolas Perfect Vision GmbH

ROCHESTER, Nueva York y MUNICH, 7 de noviembre de 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bausch + Lomb, la compañía mundial de salud ocular, anunció hoy la ejercitación de su opción de compra de todas las acciones destacadas y de no propiedad de Technolas™ Perfect Vision GmbH (TPV), una destacada compañía láser de oftalmología. Technolas Perfect Vision se creó en 2009 a través de una sociedad mixta entre Bausch + Lomb y 20/10 PERFECT VISION AG con el fin de desarrollar y vender tecnologías avanzadas refractarias y de catarata. Se espera que el acuerdo termine para finales de enero de 2013.

Bausch + Lomb y Technolas Perfect Vision llegaron a un acuerdo de promoción conjunta en septiembre de 2011, en el que se incluyeron también una opción para Bausch + Lomb de compra de la compañía en caso de alcanzar algunos logros destacados. Desde entonces las compañías han mejorado su experiencia combinada en cataratas y refractiva y capacidades comerciales para la promoción y avance del láser femtosecond VICTUS™, que es capaz de ser compatible con los procedimientos de cataratas y córnea dentro de una sola plataforma. En los últimos 12 meses, la plataforma VICTUS recibió la aprobación de marketing de las autoridades normativas en Europa y Estados Unidos, y las compañías siguen con los registros en otras partes del mundo al tiempo que aceleran su despliegue.
