Date:9/10/2007

Civil and Commercial Applications Currently in Use, Including Large Scale Election Enrollment, Retail, Financial, and Healthcare Solutions to be

Demonstrated

WALL, N.J., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BIO-key International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BKYI), a leader in finger-based biometric identification and wireless public safety, announced today that the company is showcasing a variety of deployed fingerprint biometric applications at the 2007 Biometric Technology Expo, being held in conjunction with the Biometric Consortium Conference Consortium on September 11th through the 13th at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD. BIO-key will provide hands-on demonstrations of its state-of-the-art identification technology as implemented in applications deployed worldwide in booth 419.

This event is recognized as the leading global venue that addresses biometric-based solutions for Homeland Security, large-scale applications and biometric interoperability and performance standards. Some of the deployed applications BIO-key will be demonstrating include: voter registration (civil election credentialing system from Tiger IT); healthcare (electronic health record software from Allscripts); education (identify(TM) school identification software suite from IdentiMetrics(TM)); retail (Point of Sale enabled terminal from Radiant Systems); and physical access (BioAxs keyless door entry solution from NextGen ID).

BIO-key will feature its award winning VST and WEB-key products; two scalable, cost effective, fingerprint based authentication software solutions that can be easily integrated into any application or platform. With more than 80 million BIO-key ISO fingerprint templates in use today, and over 16,000 digital enrollment stations deployed with the BIO-key software in a single project, BIO-key is a proven leader in fingerprint biometric identification solutions. Two significant BIO-key differentiators are: that BIO-key's software is interoperable across all major fingerprint reader manufacturers; and that the company's patented, high-speed Intelligent Image Indexing(TM) software delivers superior search and match speeds on scalable, COTS hardware.

"Being ranked as the top American based company in the Fingerprint SDK Tests conducted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) testing, and having been validated by NIST and GSA for FIPS 201 Deployments, we are the perfect choice for use in any large scale civil or commercial identification application," commented Mike DePasquale, CEO of BIO-key.
