BIO-key(R) International Invited to Speak at Annual SafeTrace(R) User Group Meeting

WALL, N.J., May 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BIO-key International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BKYI), a leader in finger-based biometric identification solutions, today announced that BIO-key will be presenting at the Annual SafeTrace User Group Meeting being held on May 5-6 at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.

SafeTrace is a Vein-to-Vein® tracking solution for blood centers and hospitals, from donor recruitment and collection to final transfusion. More than fifty representatives from the SafeTrace user community are expected to attend this annual meeting. At the request of the SafeTrace user group, Jim Sullivan, BIO-key's Director of Sales, will be presenting on how BIO-key's convenient, secure fingerprint biometric solutions are being used in blood centers and hospitals nationwide to automate donor, patient and staff identification.

The SafeTrace user meeting is a forum to discuss industry standards and trends in the blood industry. "We cover the whole gambit, from the time a donor is initially contacted to the distribution of the blood," stated Mary Plut, President, SafeTrace Users Group. "Ensuring the safety, purity, potency and the identity of the blood supply is the common goal of our organization," she added.
