Successful Deployments in U.S. and Abroad Reported

WALL, N.J., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BIO-key International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BKYI), a leader in finger-based biometric identification and wireless public safety solutions, today highlights recent successes that were reported in the media on its fingerprint biometrics identification solutions in both commercial and government applications.

The January 8th edition of This Week in Consumer Electronics (TWICE) profiled AT&T's nationwide deployment of tablet PCs for use by in-store customer representatives as a sales tool and to help facilitate interaction with customers. In order to prevent system-wide security breaches, AT&T's notebooks are equipped with BIO-key's fingerprint identification software in place of traditional user passwords. As a result, AT&T's store personnel now have the ability to quickly and easily log into applications while operating under a higher level of system security. On December 30th, The International Times Herald published an article on the recently completed Bangladesh national elections. In order to ensure the accuracy of the election's voter roll, Tiger IT - the prime contractor responsible for delivering the voter registration solution - integrated BIO-key's patented biometric identification software to collect fingerprints from each of the 80 million people who registered to vote. Additionally, BIO-key's WEB-key(R) technology was used to detect duplicate registrations and was instrumental in identifying approximately ten million fake or duplicate names.
