Allscripts and Sandata Partner to Enhance Quality in Home Care Agencies Nationwide

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandata Technologies, Inc., a leading nationwide provider of information technology solutions to the home healthcare and social services communities, today announced an agreement with Allscripts the leader in software, services, information, and connectivity solutions for physicians, hospitals and post-acute providers, making Santrax the preferred electronic time and attendance provider for current and future home care agency clients of Allscripts.

Santrax is Sandata's patented time and attendance product and the nation's number one telephone and web-based field management solution. Santrax enables home care agencies to automatically verify that their staff is in the right place at the right time and to capture tasks being performed, ensuring compliance with the prescribed plan of care and ensuring that patients are receiving the highest quality of care. In addition, Santrax is able to utilize voice biometrics to further verify the identity of the home care worker, provide alerts when a home care worker does not show up within a specified time frame and track employee mileage.

These capabilities are expected to help home care agencies become integral parts of the Patient Centered Medical Home - an increasingly popular approach to patient care that utilizes information technologies such as Allscripts and Santrax to help ensure patients receive comprehensive care in the setting they need and want.
