Oct. 2, 2013 Microbial fuel cells, chemical sensors for your iPhone, and new materials with never-before-seen properties will feature alongside faster-charging batteries, safer nuclear power, and new crime scene investigation techniques this month at a major international meeting on the science of materials, interfaces, and processing. The AVS 60th International Symposium & Exhibition will take place Oct. 27 - Nov. 2, 2013, at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif. The meeting will feature more than 1,300 presentations from both the research and manufacturing communities.

The AVS Pressroom will be located in the Long Beach Convention Center. Pressroom hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Your press badge will allow you to utilize the pressroom to write, interview, collect new product releases, review material, or just relax.
