myosin: a protein microfilament that comprises the sarcomere of muscle cells.

myofibrils
Fibrils arranged in longitudinal bundles in muscle cells (fibers); composed of thin filaments of actin and a regulatory protein and thick filaments of myosin.

The myofibrils of each cell (and cardiac muscle is made of single cells — each with a single nucleus) are branched.
The branches interlock with those of adjacent fibers by adherens junctions.

Within the cells are myofibrils; myofibrils contain sarcomeres, which are composed of actin and myosin. Individual muscle cells are lined with endomysium.

Most of the cell is occupied by striated, thread-like myofibrils. Within each myofibril there are dense Z lines. A sarcomere (or muscle functional unit) extends from Z line to Z line. Each sarcomere has thick and thin filaments.

In striated muscle it is specially adapted to surround the myofibrils, forming triads with invaginations of the plasma membrane called T-tubules.
